Finally, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has fielded Prof. Tejpal Singh Gill as candidate for Lok Sabha Elections from Ludhiana. 32 year old Gill PhD on jail management and hold masters degree from Panjab University in police administration. He was serving as Assistant professor Govind National College, Narangwal in Ludhiana district.
He was earlier with the Students Organisation of Panjab University (SOPU). Tejpal was active in student politics during the PUCSC elections in 2006. He has joined AAP as a volunteer in 2014. Tejpal is native of Sudhar in Raikot and belonged to farmer’s family.Interestingly, Tejpal will be contesting first election of his political carrier. He is the youngest candidate to contest Lok Sabha elections in entire Punjab.
Tejpal Singh said that the people will give befitting reply to Congress for poor performance in two years and Akali Dal is already rejected by Public.
Meanwhile sitting MP and congress candidate from Ludhiana Ravneet Singh Bittu said that the people of Punjab will totally reject AAP in the elections.
Bittu said that AAP has lost its ground in Punjab and AAP leaders were joining Congress. Few days ago, AAP district president Daljit Grewal and state spokesperson has joined Congress. Today, district president of AAP Youth wing, Ludhiana Aamrinder Singh Jassowal also joined Congress.
Amarinder Singh Jassowal said that today AAP is finished in Punjab and there is no coordination between the Delhi leadership and the state leadership. He assured Bittu that he would work day night to strengthen his position. He also said that he has full faith in Capt. Amarinder Singh and his vision.
It is pertinent to mention here that Aamrinder Jassowal was contender for election ticket of Aam Aadmi Party.
