Ludhiana girl becomes first Sikh solo pilot of Australia. Avneet Komal hailing from a village in Ludhiana District has made a huge impact with unusual achievement. Avneet Komal Gill flew an engine carrier at the Royal Arrow Club at Jandakot airport and became the first Sikh girl and the third Solo pilot of Western Australia at the age of 15.Komal told the media that when she was studying in class 6, she had read the book “Born To Fly” by Rhine Cambol. She was so impressed by reading that she had decided to become a pilot.After this, in order to get to her destination, she got admission in the Royal Arrow Club at weekends for her training as a pilot. She completed her target in six months. Komal is also a good player of netball and is a player of the Perth Sikh Swan team.
